Hey! My name is Morgan and I am the author of this blog. I am a Canadian media student with a love of sports, stupid comedies and anything involving the Cusacks. Having been a third wheel, a fifth wheel and any other awkward and uneven number of wheels throughout my life, I thought it was about time I shared my experiences in hopes that my more positive outlook on the single life may help others to look on the brightside as well. This may not always be an easy thing to do, but with the right support system it is definitely possible.
Please read on for a brief summary of the blog and my intentions for it.
Welcome to the Single Support System! A place where people can go for advice, tips and the odd funny anecdote about being single in the 21st century. This is not going to be a constant rant about how hard the dating world is, or how much it sucks to be the perpetually single girl in a group full of couples. Instead, it will explore the upsides of being single in a way that applauds independence without demonizing the possibility of a relationship at some point in the future. Touching on the responsibilities of a “wingwoman” as well as how to field the awkward “So…anyone new in your life?” question at family functions, this blog aims to live up to its name as a support system, offering knowledge but also being an open platform for discussion.
Disclaimer: I will try to post as much gender neutral content as I can, but seeing as I have only experienced the single life as a female, this might not always be a possibility.
